Chowon was found lying on a fast-moving four-lane road,
collapsed on the ground.
The first sight was so horrific
that it was hard to even keep looking.
The front paws had lost all of their toes,
and there was almost no flesh left on the pads.
The bones of the hind legs were exposed,
with long, dragged wounds along the knees and legs.
Tied with a rope,
it was assumed that Chowon had been dragged somewhere.
This was a case of severe abuse.
When the Pochetmong Center reached out,
even in fear,
Chowon chose to trust people once again.
Even while receiving treatment at the hospital,
this child never made a single cry.
And so,
this child was given the name Chowon.
Though the legs were once badly damaged,
to Chowon now, those legs
have become “miracle legs reborn from bare bones.” ✨
So that each step taken now
can become hope, not pain,
Chowon is waiting for a family
