Kaojjyu had been wandering around the area near our center.
In the early days of the center’s establishment, she appeared healthy and chubby, but when she was seen again last July, she had lost a significant amount of weight and was drooling due to severe stomatitis.
Concerned by her drastic weight loss, we could no longer leave her untreated.
She was rescued and brought into the center to receive safe medical care and proper protection.
She is now recovering in a stable environment and is waiting for a new family who will fill her days with love—
replacing hunger and pain with warmth and care 🩵
Though she is sensitive to environmental changes and tends to hide at first, she slowly learns to trust.
Once she does, she seeks affection—nuzzling into hands and rolling over to show her belly in the sweetest way.

Kaojjyu is a former community cat who lived in the neighborhood where our previous care center was located.
A Korean Shorthair with a tabby (chaos) pattern, Kaojjyu had already been spayed.
However, her stomatitis was in an extremely severe state—so critical that it would not have been surprising if her condition had suddenly become life-threatening.
After assessing her condition, we decided to rescue her for urgent treatment.
Under the center’s care, Kaojjyu underwent surgery and received intensive medical treatment and ongoing support.
After treatment, Kaojjyu’s stomatitis symptoms have significantly improved, and she has regained her strength.
She is now enjoying a stable and comfortable daily life 🤍
Having moved past her painful days, Kaojjyu is once again learning what it means to live in comfort.
Now, instead of medical treatment, she is waiting for a family to share her life with.
