At first, this began with the intention of rescuing a cat who was struggling to survive on the streets.
However, as more rescues followed, the situation gradually became overwhelming.
Without sufficient care and management,
the cats ended up living together in one house for a long period of time, left largely unattended.

A total of 12 cats were living in this space.
Among them, only 3 had been spayed or neutered.
The remaining 9 cats were left unaltered
well beyond the age of one.

The house could no longer be considered a livable space.
The litter boxes were not properly maintained, and waste had accumulated.
In particular, the strong odor and contamination caused by urine had deeply permeated the entire home.
Cat hair and filth were tangled across the floors, furniture, and walls,
creating an environment where neither people nor animals could reasonably stay.

It was practically impossible for 12 cats to live together in this space.
Their fur was severely matted,
and their skin conditions had visibly worsened,
clearly showing that even basic hygiene care had not been provided for a long time.

During the site inspection,
the body of a very young kitten was discovered inside a freezer.
The kitten had not survived during the course of care,
and this tragic finding revealed that the situation had long exceeded
what one individual could manage on their own.

This space was not simply a matter of inadequate personal care.
For so many lives to coexist,
structural support and external intervention were absolutely necessary.

Recognizing that the situation could no longer be handled alone,
the original caretaker asked Geunseong Clean for help.
After confirming the severity of the conditions,
Pocketmung Center proceeded with the rescue
in cooperation with Geunseong Clean.
