This situation initially began with the intention of rescuing a cat that was struggling to survive on the streets.

However, as the rescues continued, the situation gradually became overwhelming.
Without adequate care and proper management, the cats ended up living together in a single home for an extended period, effectively left in a state of neglect.

A total of 12 cats were found living in the space.
Of them, only 3 had been neutered. The remaining 9, despite being well over a year old, had not even undergone basic neutering procedures.

The house could no longer be described as a livable environment.
The litter boxes were left unmanaged, with waste piling up, and the strong odor and contamination from urine had deeply permeated the entire home.
Cat fur and filth were entangled across the floors, furniture, and walls, creating conditions in which neither humans nor animals could comfortably stay.

It was, in reality, an impossible environment for 12 cats to coexist.
Their fur was severely matted, and their skin conditions had noticeably worsened, clearly showing that even basic hygiene care had not been provided for a long time.

During the site inspection, the body of a very young kitten was discovered in the freezer.
The kitten had sadly passed away during the course of care and could not be saved.
This heartbreaking discovery revealed that the situation had long exceeded what a single individual could manage.

This was not simply an issue of personal care.
It was an environment involving multiple lives, one that clearly required structured support and external intervention.

Realizing that the situation could no longer be handled alone, the original caretaker reached out to Geunseong Clean for assistance.
After confirming the severity of the conditions, Pocketmong Center proceeded with the rescue in cooperation with Geunseong Clean.

Chamoe is a gentle and cautious cat who can be a bit shy when meeting someone for the first time.

Even small sounds can startle her, but that also means she is very attentive and sensitive to her surroundings.

She may seem timid, but in reality, she’s quite curious—before you know it, she’ll be peeking her head out to quietly observe what’s going on.

She carefully watches everything around her and is slowly learning about the world at her own pace.

She generally gets along well with other cats, so she doesn’t experience much stress when living with companions.

And when it comes to treats—especially Churu—her eyes light up with adorable excitement 😊

At first, she’ll need some time and patience for you to approach her slowly,

but once she opens up, she enjoys being petted and will calmly accept your touch.

She may be a little timid, but she is also delicate, gentle, and expresses her affection in her own quiet, loving way.
