Medical Conditions

※ Detailed medical and health information will be provided to confirmed prospective adopters or adopters after the adoption application process.

Nuri was adopted as a puppy in the spring of last year
into a household where both parents have disabilities.

The guardians, who have intellectual disabilities
that make even basic communication difficult,
began life with Nuri under these circumstances.

At some point, a family member with a mental disability
began to feel that the dog was causing conflict between the couple,
and reportedly started neglecting and abusing Nuri.

This situation came to light through a support worker.
We were also told that another dog living in the same household
suddenly disappeared one day,
with no one knowing what happened to them.

As a result, Nuri spent approximately a year and a half
confined to a small, fenced space—
standing on a pee pad barely the size of Nuri’s own body,
believing that place to be the entire world.

Nuri had never been outside,
never walked freely—
that narrow space was all Nuri knew.

After confirming the situation,
Forcatmung Center carried out an emergency rescue,
and that day, Nuri saw the outside world for the very first time
with the help of the center.

Upon arriving at the center,
Nuri drank water repeatedly for several minutes,
then vomited,
only to drink water again—
repeating the same behavior over and over.

Nuri’s entire body was covered in waste and filth, a sight that clearly showed
how long both Nuri’s body and living environment had been neglected.

Nuri’s physical condition was close to a state of starvation.

Nuri rarely barks
and is still learning
how to express joy and affection.

Because of that,
Nuri has a calm and gentle nature,
becoming endlessly sweet and well-mannered
around people.

Now, true to the meaning of the name Nuri,
this gentle soul is ready
to learn about a beautiful, warm world
all over again.

We are looking for an adopter
who will gift Nuri
a happy “world” of love and safety. 🏡🐶
